Dual-credit Courses

The dual-credit courses offered in the Innovatia High School program are elective courses that students can opt to enroll in during their high school tenure. These courses hold recognition from universities, and upon successful completion and evaluation, students have the opportunity to simultaneously earn credits towards both high school and university levels.
The program provides an extensive array of courses, presenting students with numerous options for dual-credit courses. The curriculum covers a wider spectrum compared to AP courses, granting students increased flexibility and a broader range of choices in their academic endeavors.
Grades in dual-credit courses are determined through a comprehensive assessment of students’ daily assignments, mid-term and final exams, reports, and other classroom activities. The final exam does not solely dictated grades. Credits are awarded to students upon the successful completion of the course.
During high school, students have the opportunity to enroll in dual-credit courses, earning university credits and transcripts in advance. This affords them the possibility of graduating early, pursuing advanced degrees, or completing double majors during their university studies. Furthermore, it can lead to substantial reduction in both tuition fees and living expenses.

Dual-credit courses typically achieve a credit transfer rate averaging 50% surpassing the 30% transfer rate of AP courses. This highlights a distinct advantage in terms of credit recognition and transferability.

Based on partial data, dual-credit courses enjoy widespread recognition from universities in the United States and Canada. Among the top 80 ranked universities in the United States, more than 50 universities acknowledge the value of dual-credit courses, and this figure continues to increase each year.
